and the title of Miss Universe 2007 goes to...

Miss Japan!!

"I love dancing and have been doing it since I was a child. I lived my life among many children and teachers. I learned how to be happy and positive. This is what I want to teach to the next generation".

That earned this 20-year-old, Riyo Mori the title of Miss Universe 2007!
Her question was from Nina Garcia and she asked " What is the lesson you learned as a child that still affects your life today?"

Congratulations Miss Japan!!

.................................................................................................

The first runner up is Natalia Guimaraes (22) representing Brazil

The second place went to 21-year-old, Ly Jonaitis representing Venezuela

Next in third place was Miss Korea, Honey Lee (23)

The 4th runner up, which was kind of unexpected went to Rachel Smith (22) of USA.

Amazing top 5 this year... I thought either Korea or USA would win the title... and then Japan third... but not bad la... Japan got first... GO ASIA!! hehe...

This year, it was hosted by Vanessa Minilla, a former Miss Teen USA, and Mario Lopez... instead of the normal Nancy o' Dell and that other man... forgot his name... sry... I think is was because Nancy was pregnant so she coudln't host the show... she managed to host Miss USA 2007 though...

The top 10 Miss universe were Brazil, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Japan, Korea, Mexico (of course), Venezuela. India, USA, and Angola...

Who won Miss Congeniality?
Another ASIAN!! Ningning Zhang from China....

and Miss Photogenic was Miss Philippines!! Anna Therea Licaros... anotehr Asian!! Cool, huh?
xD

During the evening gown competition, one of the contestants accidentaly slipped and fell down.. Miss USA, Rachel smith slipped on her Black gown but managed to pull it off with a smile on her face together with the support from the crowd... They cheered here on... So nice... She recovered quickly and got into the top 5... I guess this was the reason she only got 4th runner up... sad...

The final questions were not so tough this time and all of the contestants managed to answer them without any emmm... ahh... sooo...... they were all so calm and fluent...

First to answer was Miss Venezuela chose judge Dave Navarroz and her question was "Would you rahter have a relationsip with a man who is spontaneous for a while or plays it safe?"

Her answer was she prefers a man who is fair overall and a good companion. A good relationship must have some give and take to the flame and passion."

Next was Miss Korea and she chose James Kyson Lee... The guy from Heroes... He asked," If you had superpowers, what would it be and why?". She answered," I would like the one where it enables me to use all my power and money to help missionary work and all people around the world. My superpower would be a wallet that doesn't dry up."

I would want that too... hahahaha...

After that Brazil chose a question from Michelle Kwan and her question was "Is it better to live to follow your heart or your mind?". She said," We must have the balance of both the heart and mind. It is most important to follow through to the heart and that is fair to the people".

Next up was Miss USA and her judge was Tony Romo. He asked "If you could go back and relive your life, what would it be?". Rachel said," In January 2007, I travelled to South Africa with Oprah's Leadership Academy for Girls. ... hahahha....

This year, the competition was really cool... They had one band called RBD...Nette Nette... you like them... haha... but they didn't sing Tu Amor.. They sang an english number and another song in their spanish...

CONGRATS to all the winners... :)

TTFN~!
