Langkawi Trip~!

It's been already more than 2 weeks since I came back from Langkawi and I still haven't updated my blog. Well, I've been really busy for the past 2 weeks. Going out with my cousins and friends. I wanted to update last Friday but was sick. AGAIN!! Now feeling much better. =)

Day 1

[Part 1]


When I arrived at the airport, saw plenty of foreigners. Lots of China people. and Caucasians too. We checked in quite early. Had more than 1 hour of free time so went for breakfast at McD. Had my FAVOURITE MEAL!!! BIG BREAKFAST!!! So long nvr eat that adey. Last year, ate really really a lot and lot of it!

Anyways, after makan-ing, we went to wait at the boarding gate. Saw so few people sitting there. When I checked the tickets, we were actualyl waiting at the wrong gate! Lucky it was still early. Otherwise no good seats on the plane. Budget airlines... no assigned seats... Ya, So went to the CORRECT gate and saw MANY PPL! Lucky there were only 122 people on the same flight and the plane could fit around 140 passengers.(got the info from the staff)

At first we wanted to try the XPress boarding BUT there were these terms and conditions where EVERYONE must purchase it and you have to buy for 2 ways. So four in my family meaning 160 bucks. So we didn't buy it. Rather use the money to shop!! Hehehee...

Got great seats. 3rd row from the front and it was a window seat! I was excited boarding the airplane... Jakun, right? I know... So long nvr sit adey... The last time I sat was in 2003...

LOL... Bah... but the view was beautiful. You could see how polluted the rivers were! No kidding! There were 2 seperate rivers in 2 different areas. One in a housing estate and the other was in an industrial area. The one at the housing area was like teh tarik and the other one was green. NO idea why it was green. Weird. When we were over the ocean you could see this red, sandy-like line in the ocean. I think it was caused by the pollution. Sad... But when the plane went higher could only see clouds everywhere... It was soooo nice... One layer of clouds below you and this clear blue sky above you... I should have taken a pic... It was soooo relaxing.

After like 30 minutes, the plane decsended a little and the sea was in sight again. So blue and CLEAN. Could see the different depths of the ocean. Then I saw a plastic mineral bottle... GOSH! It was so far away from the nearest island. As we went closer to the island, I saw more RUBBISH floating in the ocean!! *shakes head*

Anyways we landed 20 minutes earlier... The first thing you see is this large sign saying

"WELCOME TO LANGWAKI"

Hahahaha... Nice tagline... it sounds a bit funny la...

Yey! Picture time!!

Hehehe... The plane is okla... but imagine flying all the way to London with no entertainment on board?? Madness... If flying short distance then okay la... Haha...
Can't complain... It's a budget airlines...

Ok... after collecting our luggages we rented a car... Vios for 50 a day... Cheap... Proton was like 40 a day... If you had a choice, you would have forked out that extra 10 bucks for you know what... hehe...

The tank was EMPTY! Searching for the petrol station was really tough... The roads were so kampung-ish... Duh! Asked for directions didn't really help either... They just pointed and say atas lagi atas lagi... Yes.. We were driving around the place, a kampung road with an empty tank... So dangerous... After 5 minutes we finally found it.. This was how it looked like...

Oh... and this was the car we rented... we always wondered how it feels like in a black car... and we got to experience it... wakaka...

Felt real relieved when we had full tank. Next mission was to find our resort. Just as we pass by the airport, the car was jerky. Lucky! The car broke down just as we arrived in the airport... So we changed to a Sentra instead. No more black car.....
First day arrive got havoc adey... After another visit to the petrol station we were finally off to find out wonderful resort....

After more direction asking and turns, we finally reached our destination!!

and the first thing I noticed when I was in the lobby... A lot of Caucasians... A LOT A LOT!!

must be their holiday too... The place was cool... There is this shuttle service that sends you to your room. Well, they wouldn't want you to waste time finding your room. You'll probably end up lost. The place is HUGE!

If you want to leave your room, you call the shuttle service and they will come and pick you up. Our room was near the lobby. About 5 minutes walk only. So we would walk down because it was going downhill. hehe... Walking up, "Shuttle service"!! Too steep and at night too creepy to walk back to the room. Here's a pic of our room~!

After checking in and resting for a while, we went to Langkawi Underwater World. Took us abt 30 minutes to get there. It was big. The guy worker said 20 minutes osso can finish. BUT it took us more than an hour. We stayed there till it was closing time. More pics in another post... Too lazy to scroll down after adding the pics... One bad thing abt blogger...
